How far in advance should I order a cake?
Ideally, as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment. I will book wedding cakes from 2 months up to a
year and a half in advance. All other cakes are subject to availability of space and can be booked up to one
month in advance. Due to the time involved in creating custom wedding cake designs, I can only accommodate a
limited number of commissions per year.
May I bring a picture of a cake & have you make it?
I prefer not to copy another artists work. Your cake should be
just that, 'your cake', not from someone else's special day. You
may however bring in pictures for inspiration.
How much will a wedding cake cost?
Every cake is priced on an individual basis by number of servings, flavour choice and complexity of design. Please
check menu pricing for basic prices. A wedding cake may take 24 hours to complete or 40 hours. On average my
cakes fall in the range of $650.00 to $950.00. Some are more, some are less. Wedding cakes require a 30%
non-refundable deposit.
How much will a sculpted 3D cake cost?
Sculpted 3D cakes start at $250.00. All are priced on an individual basis. Size and complexity of
design are the main components of pricing a sculpture. This type of art cake is time consuming and can take
days of prep work prior to the actual cake carving and covering. Detailed 3D sculpture cakes can range in the
thousands of dollars. Sculpture cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit.
Can I rent a cake?
No I do not rent fake cakes. But sometimes a cake can contain
a fake layer to maintain the look of your design.
Are those real flowers on the cake?
Most of what you see in the gallery is hand made sugar flowers and decorations.
I can recreate almost anything in sugar.
Do you teach classes?
No, not at this time.
