Care of Sugarpaste Flowers and Bows Title
  • The keepsake beauty of your sugarpaste adornments can last indefinitely if taken care of.
  • One of the most important things to remember is not to freeze your ornaments with the anniversary cake. This will destroy them.
  • Remove your treasures to a separate container (preferably clear) that has air holes to prevent condensation build up.
  • Keep in a moisture free area of your house.

Freezing the Top Tier Title
  • The first anniversary tradition of freezing the top tier should be done properly to ensure a delicious fresh tasting cake.
  • Use good quality large freezer bags.
  • Freeze the cake for 3 to 4 hours to set the frosting if it is buttercream or go directly to next step if it is a fondant and royal iced cake.
  • Place it in a plastic bag and suck out all the air using a straw to create a vacuum type seal. Then, close with a tie wrap.
  • Place inside a second bag and repeat the process of sealing again. You may even triple-bag just to be sure. Any air will cause freezer burn and take moisture from your cake.
  • Place the wrapped cake back in the cake box to protect it from being damaged by other products in the freezer. Do not set things on top of the box.
